Founding Principal

With over 23 years at the intersection of finance, development, and global institutions, she is a seasoned Development Finance Executive and Board Member whose career reads like a map of the world's most critical economic challenges. She has shaped financial systems across continents, most recently leading Financial Services at the African Fertilizer and Agribusiness Partnership (AFAP), where she oversaw a USD 40 million Trade Credit Guarantee Program. Before that, she brought her expertise to the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Namibia as a Sustainable Finance Consultant, and to AlphaMundi Foundation, where she served as Executive Director. As Managing Director for Africa at Convergence Blended Finance, she helped unlock capital for underserved markets, which reflects a consistent thread throughout her career: deploying finance where it matters most. That same conviction drove her tenure as a Senior Investment Officer in Infrastructure Finance at the African Development Bank, where she built a portfolio of infrastructure projects exceeding USD 2 billion. Her influence has extended to the highest levels of policy and governance. She served as Technical Adviser to a Former Minister of Finance and as Technical Adviser to the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA). These roles placed her at the table where economic policy is made.Earlier in her career, she worked as an Enterprise Development Specialist at the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and with the QED Group LLC in Washington, DC where she built the foundation for a career defined by impact, expertise, and a truly global footprint.
A native English speaker with linguistic prowess in French, Italian, and basic Spanish and Swahili, she enables Acacia Climate Partners Limited to work seamlessly across Africa while executing excellence in multiple languages.
As Chair of the Finance Working Group of the African Agrivoltaics Platform Initiative (AAPI), she is lending her expertise to develop a promising new asset class that solves three interconnected challenges at once - energy poverty, food insecurity, and climate vulnerability.

Building a New Asset Class to Address the Triple Threat of Energy Poverty, Food Insecurity, and Climate Vulnerability

Africa sits at the intersection of three converging stress factors: a deepening food-security crisis (the continent nowimports more than USD 40 billion of food annually, projected to exceed USD 110 billion by 2030 absent structural change), an energy-access gap (over 600 million people without reliable electricity, of which more than half live in rural agricultural communities), and accelerating climate shocks for rain-fed agricultural systems. Agrivoltaics, when properly designed for African farming systems, addresses all three challenges simultaneously: it generates clean energy, can significantly increase yields of shade-tolerant crops, reduces irrigation demand by 15-30%, protects soils and biodiversity, and creates new revenue streams and savings for smallholders.
