Structuring the financial architecture that makes clean energy, green infrastructure, and climate-smart agriculture bankable, scalable, and replicable across Africa.
Who we are
Acacia Climate Partners Limited is a Nairobi-based specialist advisory firm. We advise development finance institutions, bilateral donors, private investors, and African sovereign clients on blended finance structuring, climate transaction design, and institutional investor capacity building.
Three practice areas. One uncommon combination.
We design and structure blended finance vehicles for development finance institutions, bilateral donors, private investors, and African sovereign governments. These include revolving funds, first-loss credit facilities, results-based financing mechanisms, and other concessional capital architectures that mobilize private investment at scale.
We advise on the design and financial structuring of renewable energy, green agri-finance, and sustainable infrastructure transactions across Africa, from pre-investment structuring through financial close.
We train and build the capacity of domestic institutional investors, including pension funds, insurance company investment teams, development finance institution transaction teams, and capital markets authority officials on blended finance mechanics, investment appraisal, de-risking instruments, and impact reporting.
Co-managed Board-approved senior debt investments exceeding USD 700 million across power utilities, hydropower, oil and gas, and transport infrastructure in four African regions.
Advised on blended finance strategies to address systemic market failures. Recommendations incorporated into Ghana’s 2021 Country Financing Roadmap.
Trained multiple Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), privateinvestors, and philanthropic investor Boards, executive leadership, and transaction teams on structuring blended finance, including risk mitigation andimpact reporting.
Designed and structured a sustainable blended finance revolving fund to leverage catalytic capital for social enterprises in the Namibian market.

We work with DFIs, bilateral donors, philanthropic organizations, private investors, and African governments on mandates where blended finance design, climate transaction structuring, or institutional capacity building is the requirement. If that describes your current challenge, we would welcome a conversation.
